Academic Male Choir PSaldo…

is founded in 1996 in Helsinki, Finland. Its a cappella repertoire contains both traditional and contemporary Finnish and foreign choral music. In addition the choir has also performed and recorded with prominent orchestras and conductors in Europe.

Since the beginning the backbone of the choir has been alumni from the Helsinki School of Economics (nowadays Aalto University School of Business). Members of the choir have a long-standing background on singing in various other choirs as well. Psaldo continues onwards its artistic ambitions by pursuing high quality combined with joy of singing.

The choir has performed in several occasions in Europe for example in France, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Slovakia and Hungary. The choir has also made three separate recordings of Finnish male choir music and Christmas carols.

Psaldo has been awarded gold metal and best male choir prize in 2014 at International Franz Schubert choir competition in Vienna, Austria and in 2017 at Harmonie Festival in Limburg, Germany. In 2023 Psaldo participated international Vox Lucensis choir competition and festival in Lucca, Italy and was awarded with gold certificate.

Psaldo is conducted by Mr. Hiski Wallenius (Msc.Mus.).
